When I Feel Anxious....



.... I am prone to clean, cook, and decorate. This was the result of last night's anxiety attack. I pulled out my roommate's Christmas tree from storage (all 7 1/2 FEET OF IT), decorated it, cleaned the apartment, scrubbed every inch of my kitchen, and baked Christmas cupcakes all while wearing the festive "Christmas" PJ's that my mama bought for me. Although, they don't seem very Christmasy to me. More like Twilighty. Like the movie. No offense, mooma. They are so comfy and soft.

I swear that this is the best way for me to get my mind off of the crud in my life...by focusing on the crud in my apartment. You should seriously give it a try! Now the apartment smells of trees (tree scented candles- the tree itself is fake) and cupcakes. As a result of my anxiety efforts, I was able to enjoy last night's episode of New Girl sitting by the sparkling tree. Not a bad way to end December 6th.

  1. haha "don't tell me work out"! I'd never tell you that in a million years! That's the last thing I do. For sure I find my way to my mixer, double my batch of choc chip cookies and watch Arrested Development :)

  2. Nope, not work out. I do the exact same thing you do. Clean, organize and bake. Never really cook per say, but always BAKE. And then eat what I bake. Hope you are feeling less anxious now dear!
